Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding psychologist since 1993 and director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. The university is renowned for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children and using child victims to serve as witnesses in court. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has been a consultant to numerous governments and agencies throughout the world on policies as well as research on child victims in the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is part of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member of the International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
